No-Show and Cancellation Policy for Axxon Pain Medicine

At our practice, we respect our patients’ time and resources. We understand that unexpected circumstances may sometimes arise, which may prevent our patients from keeping their appointments.

However, we also have a duty to our patients and our practice to ensure that appointments are kept and wasted resources minimized. In light of this, we have a no-show and cancellation policy in place.

Here are the details of our no-show and cancellation policy:

  1. Appointment Cancellation: Patients are required to give us at least 24 hours’ notice to cancel or reschedule an appointment to avoid being charged. In the event of a missed appointment or less than 24 hours’ notice, a fee will apply. The fee amount will depend on the type of appointment and may be up to the full appointment’s cost.
  1. No-shows: If a patient does not show up for a scheduled appointment without prior notification, they will be considered a no-show and may be charged a fee.
  1. Late arrivals: We understand that unexpected traffic or other unforeseen circumstances can delay an appointment. However, patients who arrive more than 15 minutes late for scheduled appointments may need to reschedule their appointment, and a fee may apply.
  1. Compensation: In special circumstances, compensation may be provided at the discretion of the practice management. However, this is not guaranteed, and patients are thus encouraged to keep their scheduled appointments.

Our patients should note that the fees for no-shows and cancellations are not covered by health insurance plans and are the sole responsibility of the patient. And finally, please note that the practice reserves the right to turn away patients who repeatedly violate our no-show or cancellation policy.

Thank you for your understanding in adhering to this policy, which will support our efforts to provide accurate, timely, and attentive medical care to our patients.

Axxon Pain Medicine is committed to ensuring the safety and wellbeing of our patients and staff.  Our practice remains open and operational, with appropriate measures in place to help prevent the spread of the Covid virus.
